MBAG VISITORS AND MEMBERS

The Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia is a trade association composed of mortgage lenders, brokers and affiliated industry associates. This Association is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the mortgage banking correspondent system. The Board of Governors of this association encourages its members to use sound and ethical business practices in the making, marketing and servicing of mortgage loans. We promise to keep the members informed of changes in mortgage laws and pending legislation that affect the real estate and mortgage business.

Through our Education and Public Relations committees, we promise to sponsor educational meetings and seminars for the purpose of educating the members and the public. Through the standing committees, the Association cooperates with the public and private agencies in the establishment of sound and ethical real estate practices. In addition to the Education and Public Relations committee, the following committees work to accomplish the goals established by the board of governors: Affordable Housing/Fair Lending; Ethics and Consumer; Convention; FHA-VA; Georgia Future Leaders, Investor Liaison; Legislative; Licensing;  Production Council; Membership and Quality Control. The Thomas T. Shealy Georgia Future Leaders Program is an annual leadership development curriculum designed to develop mortgage industry leaders in Georgia. The Lend-A-Hand program is administered by the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia Foundation, the charitable arm of the parent organization which offers assistance to the elderly, disadvantaged of our communities.

There are seven Mortgage Bankers Association chapters in Georgia to serve their communities. We invite you to join us in making Georgia a desirable place to establish homes and to raise our children.
